Contrary to popular belief, Canada is actually so much more than Maple syrup and Boxing Day...
Without Canada there would be no Bieber and no Canadian Tuxedos (a sad reality to even ponder for a moment.)
So I dedicate this post to thanking you, Canada.
You're da' most neutral bomb!
As you may have noticed, I take the 'equal opportunity' approach when it comes to the music I listen to (except for Country-- sorry y'all.) And my music non-discrimination policy holds true with Justin Bieber's music. The Biebs has just come out with a fresh new sound on his track, Boyfriend, thanks to the production skills of Mike Posner--remember the guy who sang about the chick who was cooler than him? The beat is fly and the melody is catchy, and I just want to keep playing it over and over again. Take a listen and then tell me you don't want to bump this at every pool party you attend this Spring.
Damn you, Bieber, you've done it again.
What to Wear While Listening:
'2012 Canadian Tuxedo'
Before Bieber was even born, the Canadians were responsible for the birth of the 'Canadian Tuxedo,' (in laymen's terms-- a jean on jean ensemble, typically a suit, :/, that was not exactly chic.) Now, things have changed and there has been a revival of a new, modern, and actually quite cool take on the Canadian Tux. Pairing a chambray shirt with a print on it, like this great one from Quicksilver, and jean shorts, with a statement necklace, and a coral colored bag, is a great way to look fresh and fun, while paying a sartorial shout-out to our beloved Canada.
The fact you like that Bieber song totally validates me singing along to it on the radio now, so thank you! (Actually as soon as I heard that Drake thought it was "cool" I felt okay about liking it).
ReplyDeleteLoveeee your blog and want you to be my personal stylist.
