The fifteen year marriage of Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs, one of the most unlikely but brilliant partnerships known to fashion, is being put on display March 9 at Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
The exhibit is less of a chronology, and more a compilation of biggest hits and show stoppers; highlighting the best and most exquisite pieces in their fashion history. Along with the ball gowns, tea dresses and undergarments, is a wall of digital image screens displaying Jacob's eclectic inspirations. Spongebob next to Bertolucci, next to South Park next to Rainer Fassbinder’s Querelle (vogue.com) - Gives us mere mortals a brief insight into the dizzying madness that is Marc Jacob's brain.
So now the question remains- How do I round up enough cash to get over the pond in the next week?
