When listening to Phantogram's hauntingly catchy and dynamic music, one would assume a brigade of many musicians were helping to create the robust sound. But this is not the case. Just like Cheech and Chong, peanut butter and jelly, and Sonny and Cher, many great things come in pairs, and Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter of the New York based Phantogram are no exception. Friends since middle school, the two paired up in 2007 to form the electronic super duo we now know and love, as Phantogram. Their second EP Nightlife, inspired by touring, living out of suitcase, and all the parties that come in between, paints a vivid picture of both the highs and lows that mark the territory of the grueling and glamorous life on the road.
